Kevin Blevins and Charles Walker had 13.59 pounds and big bass with a 4.38 pounder to win the Freedom Bass Anglers tournament May 14 at Lake Toho. Brian Kinch and Seth Norman took second place with 7.38 pounds. Garrett Bard and John Bard took third place with 6.57 pounds.

Scott Yutzy and Anthony Coffman had 14.84 pounds and big bass with a 5.35 pounder to win the Polk County Bass Anglers Club tournament May 14 at Saddle Creek Park. Lenny Stevens and Hunter Sexton were second with 3.10 pounds.

Doc Swango and Ron Dunham had 18.85 pounds to win first place in the Kissimmee Bass Series Senior tournament May 13 on the Kissimmee Chain. George Short and J.R. Smith were second with 18.30 pounds. Elwood Glaser had big bass with an 8.01 pounder.

Eric Conant and Mike Foster had 22.34 pounds to win the Xtreme Bass Series Central Florida Division tournament May 15 on the Winter Haven Chain. Colby Evans and Jesse Smith took second place with 19.73 pounds. Andrew Hall and Will Brown took third place with 19.38 pounds. Troy Tucker and Terry Tucker had big bass with a 9.29 pounder.

George Parker and Rosie Parker had a seven fish aggregate of 25.13 pounds to win first place during the Florida Crappie Club classic tournament May 13-14 on the St. Johns River. Daniel Pitts and Mitch McGill were second with 20.64 pounds. Brian Harford and Charles Harford were third with 19.73 pounds. John Young had big fish with a 2.11 pounder.

Angelo Flores and Dick Botting had 32.02 pounds to win the MacDill Bass Busters tournament May 14 -15 on the Harris Chain. Zack Myers and Jon Talha were second with 31.84 pounds. Jim Sellers and Scott Ellis placed third with 30.56 pounds. Greg Bartz took Day One big bass with a 7.03 pounder and Jim Sellers had Day Two big bass with a 5.79 pounder.

Weston Smith and Garrett Foster had 13.69 pounds to win the Thursday Night Open Series tournament May 12 at Banana Lake. Joshua Dunn and Calvin Croft took second place with 12.23 pounds. Matt Puhak and Vic Puhak placed third with 10.42 pounds and also had big bass with a 5.79 pounder

Dennis Minton and Keith Brown had 15.44 pounds and big bass with a 7.94 pounder to win the Fishing Misfits’ tournament May 14 at Lake Juliana. Matt Dean and Adarius Taylor took second place with 14.16 pounds. Drew Carter and Ed Stephens took third place with 12.93 pounds.

Chris Fox had 10.00 pounds to win the Country Boys Fishing LLC Saddle Creek “Monday Nighter” tournament May 16 at Saddle Creek Park. Mike King and Tommy Young took second place with 6.30 pounds. Bobby Ford and Mike Tucker placed third with 5.25 pounds. Cam King and Nicole Ford had big bass with a 4.75 pounder.

The next Thursday Night Open Series tournament is May 19 on the Winter Haven North Chain out of the Lake Rochelle ramp. Time is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sign-ups are at the ramp only and will be cut off at 5:50 p.m. Entry fee is $30 per boat, no more than two people per boat. The 4th Annual Battle of the Bass Tournament benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay is May 21 on the Kissimmee Chain out of Camp Mack. The tournament Entry fee is $200 per boat for two anglers with $20 optional big bass fee. A $5,000 first place prize is guaranteed. Registration begins a 5 a.m. and time is safe daylight to 3 p.m. Anglers may register online or on site prior to the tourney. However, after May 13 entry fee will be $240. The Camp Mack Guy Harvey Lodge, Marina & RV Resort 2022 Bonfire Tournament Series continues with its second event, the Blazing Bass Challenge June 4 at Lake Kissimmee. This is the second of three, one day tournaments to be held throughout the year and will conclude with a two-day tournament in November.
