Blake Griffin and Joe Harris attend the US Open in Queens

A long and treacherous NBA season is rapidly approaching and for players this means making the most of these final few days off. Nets big man Blake Griffin and sharpshooter Joe Harris linked up on Monday to attend the US Open in Queens, one of the biggest tennis events of the year and the final Grand Slam tournament of the season.

In less than a month on September 28, Griffin and Harris will have to report to San Diego for training camp. Both players have a chip on their shoulders after what happened last season. They also will play a crucial role in how far Brooklyn can go this year. Harris led the league in three-point percentage during the 2020-21 campaign, shooting it at 48%, on his way to averaging 14.1 PPG. Griffin, who had a resurgence with the Nets last year, averaged 10 PPG to go with 4.7 RPG in Brooklyn while shooting it at 49% from the field.

Seeing the two at the US open like this is probably going to be the most relaxed we see them for a while. Well, they have a couple more days to relax until the season starts of course. There is so much pressure that is creeping up on them come September 28. The pressure of delivering a championship to the Brooklyn Nets. There is no way around it, things are going to get stressful very soon.
