Bills WR Cole Beasley was only WR to do this in 2020
The Bills got a good one out of Cole Beasley this year.
During the regular season, Beasley, 31, had a career-best campaign. Unfortunately, he fell short of hitting 1,000 yards… pretty much by one game. Beasley played in 15 contests in 2020 and put up 82 catches, 967 yards and four touchdowns.
Considering Beasley averaged just over 64 yards per game, had he not broken his fibula in Week 16, he would’ve surpassed 1,000 yards for the first time in his nine-year career.
But there is good news recently unveiled by Pro Football Focus.
Beasley, a second-team All-Pro in 2020, did have 1,061 total receiving yards including the postseason. He played through the broken bone in his leg in the playoffs to put that number and and according to PFF, he’s the only player in the entire NFL to surpass 1,000 yards from the slot this year (including the playoffs):

In breaking down Beasley, we have a pros and cons list and one major one for each side of that.
The con? Well, he exclusively plays in the slot for the Bills. Other guys who play in the middle, like Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill, have the versatility to move around the offense. But Beasley doesn’t, and there’s our pro. Beasley is so good at his one job that… even when a defense knows what’s coming? They still can’t stop it.
