Bills vs. Jets: Key matchups to watch in Week 11

The Buffalo Bills will host the New York Jets in their upcoming Week 11 matchup at Highmark Stadium.

The two teams have been rigorously preparing for the contest throughout the past week. Buffalo (5-5) and New York (4-5) will think they know their upcoming opponent, inside and out, after all the practicing and studying they have put in.

Because of that, despite all the off-field talking, speculation and discussion, it will still be the games, within the game, that will make all the difference when it comes to the final outcome of this upcoming weekend.

With that, here are three key matchups to watch during Sunday’s Bills-Jets matchup:

Diggs against Gardner is an absolute elite NFL matchup that we simply could not forget to highlight. Gardner is one of the best young defensive backs in the league but despite the stunning overtime win for the Jets in Week 1, Diggs still had a huge outing: 10 catches for 102 yards.

OL Mitch Morse vs. DL Quinnen Williams

Williams is a thorn in the side of the Bills.

But that’s not a Bills-specific problem… that’s a NFL-wide issue. Williams is elite. He had a tackle for loss, QB hit and fumble recovery in the season opener… not to mention in the two games Buffalo and New York faced off in last season, Williams had a combined three sacks and four tackles for loss.

Morse is the leader of the Bills’ interior offensive line. He has to get the gang sorted each and every snap to slow down Williams.

Douglas has quickly settled in nicely for the Bills despite their two losses since acquiring him at the 2023 NFL trade deadline.

And the Jets’ top playmaker in Garrett Wilson (elbow) is questionable to play against the Bills. Even if he does, he’s banged up, and Lazard will have to be the No. 1.

If Douglas stops him, don’t envy New York quarterback Zach Wilson.
