Bills' Tyrod Taylor carted off field with knee injury
The Buffalo Bills finished their game against the New England Patriots without quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who left the field on a medical cart in the fourth quarter.
Rookie Nathan Peterman, who threw five interceptions in the first half of his first career start, against the Los Angeles Chargers last month, relieved Taylor.
Taylor suffered a leg injury early in the game, after throwing a red-zone interception. He was in the sideline medical tent briefly, but returned to the game.
However, in the fourth quarter, he was carted off and the team declared him out for the remainder of the game with a knee injury.
The Patriots defeated the Bills, 23-3.
Taylor put a towel over his head as the cart drove him back to the locker room. He had thrown for just 65 yards on 9-of-18 passing, with the interception.
