Bills-Steelers wild-card game moved to Monday afternoon because of snowstorm

The NFL has rescheduled the Buffalo Bills-Pittsburgh Steelers wild-card game because of a winter storm in the Buffalo area.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that Bills-Steelers will be played Monday at 4:30 p.m. ET. It was originally scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

While the plan was to play the game on Sunday afternoon, public safety was a focal point and led to the postponement.

“The NFL has agreed with our assessment that we need to postpone tomorrow’s playoff game until 4 p.m. Monday afternoon,” said Hochul via WGRZ. “It will continue to be played at Highmark Field right in Orchard Park.  It’s all part of our critical efforts to keep New Yorkers, motorists and fans safe from this wildly unpredictable storm.”

It’ll be a doubleheader on Monday. The Philadelphia Eagles battle the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN/ABC.
