Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Ike Boettger is keeping upbeat despite his 2021 season being over.

In Week 16 against the New England Patriots, Boettger went down with an Achilles injury. His game was quickly deemed to be over.

Later on this week, Boettger was placed on injured reserve as well, ending the rest of his season.

Boettger went on to announce via his social media account on Instagram that he has had surgery. He indicates it’s actually the second time he has had a similar procedure in the past.

Still, he’s remaining in good spirits. He says he’ll miss playing on Sunday and adds he “can’t wait” to get back on the field next fall.
