Bills’ Dion Dawkins breaks down win vs. Jets with Spongebob reference
The Buffalo Bills locker room had a clear mantra ahead of facing the New York Jets following a hectic week.
The Bills (6-5) fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and replaced him with Joe Brady. Those headlines could have been distracting, but instead the team focused on just… having fun again and it worked. Buffalo beat New York (4-6) by a 32-6 final.
We know that was the message because just about every player, specifically those who play on offense, dusted off the word “fun” in their recap of the game that was. Among those to do so was quarterback Josh Allen.
“Our team was energetic as we needed to be,” Allen said via video conference. “Making that a point of emphasis throughout the week like, let’s have fun playing this game. It’s football at the end of the day.”
True, Josh. But Dion Dawkins did it better.
Instead of just saying… “have fun,” the Bills offensive lineman said it in the way only Spongebob fans would understand… and in a way only Dawkins would use.
As only Dion can do, check out his analysis of the “fun” the Bills had in the News 10 clip below:
"F is for friends who do stuff together." 🤜🤛
Dion Dawkins instantly thought of the fun song from @SpongeBob when talking about today's win over the Jets. 😅
Also said they'll celebrate tonight and "you probably see me on somebody's TV with my shirt off."#Billsmafia pic.twitter.com/ERPToJ2ngg
