Bills bracing for the loss of LB Tremaine Edmunds in free agency
One player Pittsburgh Steelers fans are very interested in as a free agent is Buffalo Bills linebacker Tremaine Edmunds. Pittsburgh has to be interested in him not only because he is a solid inside linebacker but he’s also a legacy pick as he is the brother of Steelers safety Terrell Edmunds.
According to ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter, the Bills expect to lose Edmunds to free agency. Spotrac has Edmunds market value at $11 million per season with a contract projection of four years, $44 million.
Edmunds is one of a handful of veteran inside linebackers the Steelers could consider. Devin Bush and Robert Spillane are both pending free agents and releasing Myles Jack would free up $8 million in salary cap. In 2022, Edmunds landed a 79.0 grade by Pro Football Focus. This is well ahead of the Steelers top three Steelers inside linebackers, none of which graded higher than 58.8.
