Bills activate Marquez Stevenson, bring two up from practice squad

The Buffalo Bills officially have rookie wide receiver Marquez Stevenson on their 53-man roster for their Thanksgiving meeting against the New Orleans Saints.

The team announced a few hours before kickoff that Stevenson has been activated from the team’s injured reserve list.

Earlier this week, the Bills (6-4) designated Stevenson to return from IR, but Buffalo had 21 days to do so. The Bills did not need to activate him, but doing so likely indicates he will play vs. the Saints (5-5).

When asked about Stevenson potentially being part of the game plan earlier this week, Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott said it was possible.

“I think everything is on the table at this point,” McDermott said via video conference.

In addition to Stevenson, Buffalo also elevated defensive tackles Eli Ankou and Brandin Bryan from the practice squad.

In regards to any of the three playing vs. the Saints, that won’t become official until 90 minutes before the game. Both teams will release their inactives lists at that point.

Just last week, Bryant was called up from the PS but was inactive on game day.

Stevenson was a sixth-round pick of the Bills and sustained a foot injury during the preseason.
