Bill Belichick on Tom Brady playing until he’s 50: ‘If anybody could do it, it’s probably him’

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is having the best statistical start to a season of his career, with nine touchdown passes in two games. Even though he’s 44 years old and is in his 22nd season, Brady is playing as well as ever.

It’s getting to the point where people are wondering just how long he can play. He has said he wants to play until he’s at least 45. But at this point, it’s fair to wonder whether he’ll want to keep playing after 2022. Could Brady make it to 50 years old? His former coach Bill Belichick seems to have faith.

“I’m sure Tom would know better than anybody,” the New England Patriots coach said during an appearance on WEEI sports radio. “If anybody could do it, it’s probably him.”

Brady won his seventh Super Bowl ring in his first year with the Buccaneers in 2020 after spending 20 seasons with Belichick and the Patriots.
