Heading into the summer, the Chicago Bulls needed to make changes. After getting bounced in the Play-In Tournament and winning just one playoff game in two years with their new-look roster, it was clear that they couldn’t just run back the same team and magically find a new level of success.
But for the most part, that’s exactly what they did. Sure, the additions of Jevon Carter and Torrey Craig will raise the floor of the team a bit, but they don’t change the ceiling – an early playoff exit. And for an organization with the history the Bulls have, that shouldn’t be good enough.
