Big rushing night helps Hanson earns second win of season over Chester
Sep. 1—ALEXANDRIA, S.D. — Hanson scored 22 points in the first quarter and 46 points in the first half to earn a 59-7 home victory over Chester in high school football action on Thursday night.
Hanson rushed for 359 yards, including 115 yards on eight carries and three touchdowns from Weston Kayser, who also had a kickoff return touchdown.
The Beavers' Sutton DeWald had 96 yards rushing on seven carries and Brock Tuttle had 60 yards and two touchdowns. Cole DeWald and Radek Jarding each had rushing touchdowns for the Beavers, as well.
Hanson's Sutton DeWald had a team-best five tackles and a sack, with Radek Jarding recovering a fumble and Carter Endorf made an interception. Chester's lone touchdown came on a Will Seeley 39-yard touchdown pass from Layke Wold.
Hanson (2-1) hits the road for the first time on Friday, Sept. 8, playing at Parkston. The Flyers (2-1) play at Arlington on Sept. 8.
