Minty Bets, Jared Quay and Pamela Maldonado break down their betting picks for the Monday Night Football matchup between the Vikings and Bears.

Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: For Monday Night Football, we've got an NFC North match-up between the Vikings and Bears. The Vikings are 3 and 1/2 point road favorites. And the total is 44 and 1/2. I'm Minty Bets here with Jared Quay and Pam Maldonado. We're going to give you our best bets starting with Jared. What do you think about this game?

JARED QUAY: I'm betting on the worst best team in the NFL. The Minnesota Vikings are a team that's really good. They could be the best team in the NFL. But they could also lose to the worst team in the NFL. In fact, I don't know how Kirk Cousins does it. He gets in the huddle. He's like, hey, guys. Let's go lose this game on three. And they figured a way to do it. But either way, I still think this Bears team has too many holes to figure it out. They played close against the Green Bay Packers and actually think they were going to win. And then they did what the Bears do and they lost by double digits.

But that being the case, I still think this Vikings team could make the playoffs. And I think they're going to play as such. Dalvin Cook looked electric last game. And I don't think this Bears defense can slow him down at all. So give me them Vikings minus 4 all the way up to 7. I'm taking it.

MINTY BETS: I don't think you and I have agreed on a single pick this week, Jared, because I like the Bears plus 3 and 1/2. The Vikings haven't historically done well in prime time. And Justin Fields showed a lot of life in their loss against Green Bay last week. And also, the Bears are 6 and 2 against the spread versus the Vikings their last eight meetings. So I got to go with the Bears. Pam, tiebreaker.

PAMELA MALDONADO: I don't love this pick. I'm also rolling with the Vikings. Kirk Cousins in prime time. I get it. But the Bears against rushing teams this season allowed 135 rushing yards or more to combined running back duos from Cleveland, Green Bay, and Arizona, and allowed a loan to San Francisco's Elijah Mitchell. That Vikings running back for Dalvin Cook, he's really good, electric as Jared just said. Five games of 94 rushing yards or more and just came off 205 rushing yards against Pittsburgh.

Bears running back David Montgomery, he has a similar match-up here. The Vikings are vulnerable on that rush defense as well. But the difference comes in the offensive line. They have a great offensive line and the Bears, they are second most in sacks and turnovers allowed. That was before left tackle Jason Peters left the game in Green Bay injured and did not practice this week so far. And right tackle, Larry Borom, he's out on COVID reserve.

So this vulnerable offensive line is going to be even that much more vulnerable. Prime time Kirk Cousins, I will take my chances. It's never good to bag him. But I do trust Dalvin Cook more so behind this offensive line than I do Montgomery behind one of the worst offensive lines behind against one of the best pass rushes.
