Betting: Will Steelers cover -6.5 vs. Bears?

Minty Bets, Jared Quay and Pamela Maldonado break down their betting picks for the Monday Night Football matchup between the Bears and Steelers.

Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: Let's wrap up week nine with "Monday Night Football," as the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Chicago Bears. The Steelers are 6 and 1/2 point favorites. And the total is 39 and 1/2. I'm Minty Bets here with Jared Quay and Pam Maldonado, as always. And we're here to give you our best bets. Jared, let's start with you. What's your best bet for this game?

JARED QUAY: I love Chicago plus 6 and 1/2 here. A, because the Steelers can barely beat anybody by that many points. They like to kick field goals. And I think the Bears' season is riding on this game. They're 3 and 5. And if they lose this game, they'll fall to 3 and 6 before their bye week.

With that being the case, three of their last losses were to the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, two of the best teams in the NFL. I think this team is starting to start clicking a little bit. They're getting people back from injury. And Justin Fields showed some life last week. So I just think at 6 and 1/2 with this Steelers team, they may lose this game, but I don't think they get blown out. I'm going to take the Bears plus 6 and 1/2.

MINTY BETS: I like that a lot. Pam, what do you have for us?

PAMELA MALDONADO: Not my most confident pick. I'm taking the over on 39 and 1/2. Big Ben and Pittsburgh, they're going to get there, as the Bears have allowed 33, 38, and 24 points in the last three games. The Steelers, they are forcing more field goals at 15 than touchdowns at 13. But they are still giving up an average of 2 touchdowns per game.

And as Jared mentioned, Justin Fields, he's getting it done. But he's doing it with his feet. He had 38 rushing yards or more in three straight games, 100 rushing yards last week against the 49ers. They're going to get at least 1 if not 2 multiple touchdowns.

And then you have defensive and special team scores. That's always a possibility with two strong defenses which can definitely help a low, low total that's in the 30s. Give me the over.

MINTY BETS: I like your pick, but I have to like mine better because I'm going with the under. And I know it's set so low. But both of these offenses are bottom seven in scoring and bottom 10 in total yards per game. The Steelers are historically an under team. Chicago's 6 and 2 to the under this season. And Pittsburgh is 5, 1, and 1 to the under. So give me the under. But I will not be watching this because it will be too painful.

To recap, our "Monday Night Football" picks, Jared is going with the Bears plus the points. Pam is going with the over. And I am on the under. If you want to bet on this game, don't forget to take advantage of our risk-free bet over at betmgm.com/yahoo.
