- It's time for this week's winners and losers. Let's mix it up and start with a loser, Dustin Johnson bettors Before the Masters began, Dustin Johnson was the heavy favorite to win at plus 900, as he was last year's winner with a final score of 20 under par.

One bettor was so confident Dustin would do well again, he placed a $50,000 wager on DJ to finish top 10. And Dustin missed the cut.

Moving on to a winner, Hideki Matsuyama became the first Japanese born golfer to win the Masters. He opened the tournament at 40 to [? 1 ?] and beat Will Zalatoris by one stroke.

We have witnessed history being made. , Congrats Hideki.

Speaking of Japanese athletes, the do-it-all superstar for the LA Angels, Shohei Ohtani is on fire to begin the season. Earlier this week, he became the first player in Major League Baseball history to hit a 450-foot foot home run and throw a pitch over 100 miles per hour in the same inning.

If you're looking for good value on the AL MVP or Cy Young, Shohei might be a good pick.

Let's wrap things up with a loser. Anyone who's bet on Jacob deGrom this season. We all know Mets starting pitcher, Jacob deGrom is a beast. So far this season in his 14 innings pitch, he's only allowed one earned run with 21 strikeouts. But surprisingly enough, the Mets lost in both games he started.

He's still the betting favorite to win the Cy Young at plus 400. But here's my message to deGrom bettors. Pitching is important, but it isn't everything.
