MINTY BETS: Welcome to "The Mint," a sports betting show where we're not trying to make you money. We're just trying to make sure you don't lose it all. I'm Minty Bets and today we need to talk about gambling Twitter etiquette.
This topic was inspired by Pam Maldonado. She hit the nail on the head with this tweet. The gambling Twitter community is not a nice place to be sometimes. Post your picks with analysis and confidence and someone will have something to say. You lose your picks and tweet it out just to vent and someone yet again will have something to say.
Heck, you win your pick and those same people either stay silent or still have something negative to say. I know this is a free country where we can say whatever we want, especially behind a computer screen. But you look like a loser when you do it.

MINTY BETS: I don't expect us to cheer each other on all the time. And I do think that debate is very healthy. But don't post your winning ticket or brag about how great your betting day was on someone's post that clearly states they didn't have a good day. You also shouldn't need to be annoying and comment fade when someone posts a pic just because you don't like them.
The worst is when a know it all pops up out of hibernation after your bet loses and lists off why the bet lost. Like OK buddy, I know I lost. You can go back into hiding now.
If you created a Twitter account just to talk smack about people and their picks, you're probably the same kind of person to create a Yelp account just to write bad reviews. So those that genuinely don't realize they're being of that guy on gambling Twitter, here you go. Let's make a New Year's resolution and try to be better neighbors on Twitter. I'm Minty Bets.
