PAMELA MALDONADO: Hey, Yahoo Sportsbook. I'm your data junkie, Pam Maldonado, with stats that matter for week 8 of the NFL. The Washington Commanders and Indianapolis Colts are both top 10 in sack percentage. The bet to place, over 5 and 1/2 sacks at -115.

Last season, Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke was the sixth most sacked quarterback amongst QBs that played in at least 16 games. Heinicke was sacked just once last week against the Packers. But the Colts at home are pretty dang stingy. Producing eight total sacks to opposing quarterbacks, including four to Trevor Lawrence of the Jags, who is one of the best protected quarterbacks in the league.

Looking at the Colts, 24-year-old sixth round pick Sam Ehlinger is now behind center in place of Matt Ryan. As a Texas alum, hook em horns, if there is one thing that I remember about Sammy E at Texas is that unfortunately, Ehlinger was one of the most sacked quarterbacks every season. 93 total sacks in his college career.

Commanders defensive tackle Jonathan Allen missed last week's match-up against Green Bay. Is tied for the most sacks on the team, but is back in the lineup this week. Will absolutely feast on a Colts offensive line that's given up 24 sacks to Ryan. Sure, both Heinicke and Ehlinger can scramble, but the pass rush from both defenses in Washington and Indianapolis is far too strong. The play to make for the Commanders at the Colts, over 5 and 1/2 sacks.
