Betting: Will Chiefs and Cowboys cover on Saturday?

Minty Bets, Jared Quay and Pamela Maldonado break down their betting picks for the NFL Week 18 Saturday slate.

MINTY BETS: We've got two NFL games this Saturday. So let's preview the Chiefs and the Broncos. The Chiefs are 10-point favorites in Denver, and the total is 44 and 1/2.

I'm Minty Bets, joined by Jared Quay and Pam Maldonado. We're here to give you our best bets for these games.

Jared, let's start with you. What do you think about the Chiefs and Broncos?

JARED QUAY: I think the Chiefs go into the Denver Mile High Stadium and they blow out the Broncos by more than 10 points. This Chiefs team is still hot. Yes, they lost to the Bengals, but subtract Ja'Marr Chase doing something unhuman, they really beat that team pretty badly too.

This Chiefs team is just playing good football on both sides of the ball. And I just think this Broncos team has nothing to play for. That being the case, give me the Chiefs minus 10.

MINTY BETS: Hmm, OK. I don't hate that pick, but I just can't trust either of these teams to cover. And Denver's defense has been pretty solid. Kansas City, their defense has stepped it up as of late. This match-up is 5 and 1 to the under, so I'm going to go with the under 44 and 1/2.

Pam, what's your pick?

PAM MALDONADO: I'm taking the Broncos as the underdogs here. The Chiefs, they're only playing for a seeding position, which does matter. But the Chiefs, they just need a win. They don't need to cover.

And the players for the defense on Denver, they were all out last week because of COVID reserve. They should all be back this week. That's a lot of players that are back on defense and some that are coming back on offense.

And since the week 11 bye, 2 and 4, but five forced interceptions, holding offenses to 300 total yards. Denver defense getting players back. Chiefs just need a win. Screams a back-door cover. I'll take the dog.

MINTY BETS: Moving on to the Cowboys versus the Eagles, Dallas is a 7-point favorite in Philly, and the total is 42 and 1/2.

Pam, let's start with you on this one. What do you think?

PAM MALDONADO: I'll look to the under on 42 and 1/2, because Dallas, they already clinched the division. The Eagles already locked up a spot. But the Eagles are more likely to sit players because a win doesn't guarantee a better seed position. Could see a rematch in the playoffs, so they don't want to show off their cards. And Hurts has a chance here to heal from an ankle injury. I will see field goals instead of touchdowns. Give me the under.

MINTY BETS: Hmm. That makes me not like my pick as much. And I don't want to fade the best team against the spread, but I've gotta go with the Eagles plus the points here. They have the best rushing offense in the league. And if they can get the ground game going, and going early, I can see this being a pretty close game. The Eagles are 6 and 3 against the spread as home underdogs. So fly, Eagles, fly.

Jared, what's your pick?

JARED QUAY: I gotta go against you there, Minty. I'm on the other side of this one. I like the Cowboys minus 7. They are the best team against the spread.

Meanwhile, I don't think the Eagles necessarily want to win this game. If they lose this game, they possibly play the Rams, or, I mean, depending on the seeding, they could end up playing the Cowboys again. But with that being the case, like you said-- like Pam just said, you don't want to show your cards off too much.

So I think they take it easy this game, show very minimal offense. And with that being the case, I like the Cowboys to use that defense and that offense and try to run stats up and therefore win by more than 7 points.

MINTY BETS: To recap our picks, in the first game, Jared has the Chiefs to cover. I'm on the under. And Pam has the Broncos to cover.

In the late game, Pam has the under. I'm on the Eagles to cover. And Jared has the Cowboys to cover.
