Taking place this weekend at the Forum in Inglewood, California, AJ McKee, a plus 105 underdog, will challenge Patricio Pitbull Freire, a minus 125 favorite in the finals of the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix. Here with me is Kevin Iole to give us his best bet for the weekend. Kevin, what a mouthful. What do you think of this?
KEVIN IOLE: Well, I think, first of all, this is the best fight that Bellator could absolutely put on. This is the home grown prospect AJ McKee. He fought his entire career with Bellator. Been a dominant fighter all the way through his career from the beginning to the end. Now he's facing the Pitbull, who is a two division world champion for Bellator, and he is number eight on my pound for pound list. So a really highly regarded fighter.
I like McKee to win this fight, actually. I think his height, his range and his versatility in this fight will make the difference. I see him winning that $1 million prize for capturing the Grand Prix Championship. I think he is going to finish the Pitbull.
And I know that is a big statement, Minty, because the Pitbull is a tough guy. But I see a finisher. AJ McKee is your new champion, in my opinion, by finish.
