TEREZ PAYLOR: Who would you bet on having a better statistical season? Not wins, just stats. Two AFC East quarterbacks, Cam Newton or Josh Allen. Where you come out, my man?

CHARLES ROBINSON: I would give Josh Allen a nose. And the reason I would give Josh Allen a nose, is because I'm still not really impressed by the skill position players. Look, the backfield's fine for Cam Newton. I think that's fine. But what bothers me, is you just lost a right tackle, who opted out. You have running backs who have a history of injuries. You have a wide receiver group that, I mean, whatever. We'll see N'Keal Harry saying, I slimmed down, or this, I mean, whatever. We'll see.

But when I look at Buffalo, I liked what I saw with Cole Beasley and Josh Allen. I like Stefon Diggs. I think they have a great defense. I like the backfield. If I had to choose one of those players in like a one season scenario, who's going to carry you to greater heights, I still would choose Cam, especially a healthy Cam.

But I do think that Allen has a structure that's set up around him, to take a pretty decent stride. And I know that Allen has some people that are down in him, I get that. I still think there's a lot of growth left in his game. And I think in a one off scenario, the Bills are leaning into him super hard. Whereas, I think the Patriots are, I think it's going to be a lot more collectively around Cam.

TEREZ PAYLOR: The quarterback you should take for fantasy purposes depends on how deep your league is. So if it's 10 to 12 teams, like the average league, take the upside guy. I think that's Newton. If Newton has like a Cam season.

CHARLES ROBINSON: Oh, you think Newton's the upside. OK.

TEREZ PAYLOR: I do. I think if Newton has like a typical Cam season, he's gotten more like individual upside, just running, passing. I'm actually a little higher on the skill position players for them than you are. I think they're going to be a little better this year.

CHARLES ROBINSON: OK.

TEREZ PAYLOR: I actually think, look, Cannon's a big loss, I get that. But the other four starters are pretty solid. So I'd, but, if you're in the super league where there's 20 teams and is ridiculously competitive, I don't think that you can risk the injury factor with Cam Newton. You can't risk that. If it's a deep, deep league, you got to take Josh Allen, who's a big strong guy, who's probably going to play every snap. You kind of know, I feel like you know Josh Allen's going to have a solid season. Granted, one of the worst deep ball throwers in the league last year.

CHARLES ROBINSON: Right.

TEREZ PAYLOR: But that's why they brought in Stefon Diggs.

CHARLES ROBINSON: Right.

TEREZ PAYLOR: Who's one of the league's best deep ball catchers. They return all five their offensive line starters, plus they got better at running back. Josh Allen's going to be better this year than he was last year. But I've also consistently said I think Cam Newton might be the comeback player of the year. So if you've got to make that decision, I think it comes down to that.
