- Week 15 of the Fantasy Football Survival Kit. Been a strange year all the way around, but it's been a hella strange fantasy football season, with players coming in and out of the lineup. My brain needs a mental break. But you know what we never need to take a break from, it's celebrating you. The people. My people. And this week, we asked you all, who's your best pick? OK, we're just going to keep it simple. What was the smartest thing you did? What was the thing that you got to say to your league mates hey,

[RECORD SCRATCH]

I'm smarter than you because I did this, I made this pick. We're going to celebrate those moments today. Let's get started.

This first one comes in from Minivan Papi

[ROCK MUSIC PLAYING]

Oook. At pick number five, they went Dalvin Cook over Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas. And I know that right now, you're sitting here thinking like, oh wow, what a smart move, he took Dalvin Cook. But think back to your mindset in August. Dalvin Cook wasn't considered on the same tier as guys like Christian McCaffrey, yikes. Saquon Barkley. Ooph. Zeke Elliott, ughlaa. Alvin Kamara, yeah, taking him at that spot there was aggressive, especially because Michael Thomas was supposed to be that ultra-safe pick. You could have argued the logic of taking Dalvin Cook-- a guy who has, "injury issues"-- that high. But you know what, the results have shown that Cook was the right pick. So minivanpapi, congrats to you and your Chrysler Town and Country, whatever you're cruising around in around town, you deserve to take a few victory laps in that bad boy. Next.

This next one comes in from Brian [? Kring ?] doesn't normally take tight ends, but he sure is glad he took Travis Kelce this year. Yeah, Travis Kelce might lead the frickin' league in receiving yards this year. Pretty damn good for a tight end. I'm sure you went back and forth on, should I take Travis Kelce, or should I take George Kittle? At different points of the year it looks like George Kittle was going to be that guy, but injuries, sadly, have made that not the case. So you went with the right guy, and you went with the contrarian type of move to take the early tight end! You made the smart pick, and I wish that I had taken Travis Kelce on a team this year, because I took him on exactly zero squads.

We'll be moving on to the next one now.

Ah, yes, this next one comes in from jatt559, Derrick Henry baby. Stiff arming people into oblivion. Stiff arming all the haters and the losers into oblivion. And there are still Derrick Henry haters out there, believe it or not. Hey it's unbelievable that back in August we were talking about a clear cut top four players at the running back position-- Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, Ezekiel Elliott, and Alvin Kamara-- and then maybe, maybe, people put Derrick Henry on that tier. But, oh, there were so many folks that were so worried about the pass catching, what about the fact he doesn't catch any passes? What about the fact that this guy might lead the NFL in rushing yards for a second straight year? I'm going to say it, that's some Hall of Famer type stuff, because the last guy to do that-- LaDainian Tomlinson. You might have heard of him, he was pretty good in fantasy too.

Great job on you, a great job to me too because I took Derrick Henry in a lot of first rounds. And really, if I could celebrate myself, as well as celebrating you, the people, my people. I'm going to do that, every single time. And next.

Now this next one comes in from @TroyPistachio29, they took Stefon Diggs in the ninth round, in the ninth round! For one of the best receivers in football! This video is supposed to be about you, but one more time I'm going to make it about me-- your [BLEEP] welcome. (SINGING) Next!

This next one comes in from @polls, it said Saquon Barkley, and they're aware of this segment was. Apparently Saquon Barkley was their best pick.

[SOFT MUSIC]

What? What other landmines did you step on this year? Next.

This last one comes in from @LILHulk, and Aaron Rodgers as his late pick for quarterback. Hey LILHulk, if you could travel back in time like three, four, even two years ago, and been like hey, future self tells you at some point you're going to get Aaron Rodgers as a late quarterback. Your past self would have laughed your [BLEEP] back to 2020, OK? Because no one, a few years ago, would have ever thought you'd be in a position to draft Aaron Rodgers late. But that's what happens when you get all of these-- I'm just going to say it-- nerds. I'm a nerd too, but it's fine.

With all these advanced metrics coming into this year, and I was one of them! Telling you that Aaron Rodgers was going to be bad in 2020. Yeah, well Aaron Rodgers perhaps, I don't know, look, pettiness can be a good trait. But this guy was petty, he was on a mission here in 2020, and everything coalesced to a great season out of Aaron Rodgers. Second year in the Mat Lefleur offense, it's been the most efficient the most dangerous offense in the NFL.

And I don't care where you stood on Aaron Rodgers coming into this year, and many of us-- like I said, probably 95% of us-- were down on Aaron Rodgers coming into this year, and we're all holding the collective L. I don't care where you stood on Rodgers coming to this year, but if you aren't absolutely loving watching this guy tear up the league like he's back in his peak form once again, well then you just, I don't think you really love football. That's my thing, I just don't think you love the sport that much.

That is going to do it for the week 15 edition-- the celebratory edition-- of the Fantasy Football Survival Kit. You should all absolutely be ready and willing to let me know to let @Yahoofantasy, to let the entire world know about the smart things you did this year! Because you deserve it. It's good to brag about yourself. It's good to celebrate your achievements and your accomplishments. And yes, is most of this just living through proxy of these football players? Absolutely, but at the same time, you didn't do some of the dumb shit that the guy whose going to come in last place in your league did. So you deserve to celebrate for that.
