Voting is open for the Athlete of the Week.

Dispatch.com readers can now vote for their favorite high school athletes of the week on their desktop, the Dispatch.com mobile web or Dispatch app once per hour by scrolling down to ballots listed below.

Deadline is 4 p.m. Friday.

The Athlete of the Week voting occurs each week during high school sports competition and recognizes athletes across all sports.

Athletes were nominated over the past few weeks for the vote starting Monday, May 29.

Athletes are on this week's ballot based on information made available to The Dispatch, and nominations made over the past week.

High school sports: 2022-23 Athletes of the week

Once athletes win during the regular season, they're not eligible to be back on the ballot until the postseason. If athletes haven't won in the regular season, they can be nominated more than once.

Here are this week's Athlete of the Week candidates:

Reagan Campbell, Licking Valley track and field: Won a regional title in the 400 (56.64) for the third consecutive season in a season-best time. She also placed fourth in the 200 (25.51).

Brandon Carpico, Gahanna tennis: Finished a 33-0 season in which he did not lose a set by beating Pickerington North's Pavan Uppu 6-2, 6-1 in the Division I state final.

Isabel Evans, Northridge track and field: Won a regional title in the 300 hurdles (43.52) and was second in the 100 hurdles (14.91).

Gavin Grimmett, DeSales lacrosse: Made 21 saves in a 17-6 win over Watterson in the Division II, Region 7 final.

Makena Harrington, Olentangy Liberty lacrosse: Scored four goals in a 13-8 win over defending state champion New Albany in the Division I, Region 1 final.

Nathan Hickey, DeSales baseball: Threw a runner rout at third and made a run-saving catch in right field in a 6-4 district semifinal win over New Albany.

Keegan Holmstrom, Grove City baseball: Allowed three hits, struck out 11 and walked one on 121 pitches in a 4-3 win over Watterson in the district championship.

Cameron Hoying, DeSales volleyball: Had 40 assists in a win over Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary in the Division II state championship.

Niko Kreuzer, DeSales baseball: Beat New Albany 6-4 and Pickerington Central 2-1 with a three-hit, 15-strikeout complete game. For the season, had 89 strikeouts (third best all-time for the school) and he hit .335.

Avery McClain, Watterson lacrosse: Recorded 16 draw controls and scored three times in a 14-13 overtime win over DeSales in the Division II, Region 7 final.Dakota Staffan, Johnstown softball: Hit two home runs in a 6-3 win over Tinora in a regional championship.

Kampbell Stone, Upper Arlington lacrosse: Scored four goals, including the game-winner, in a 9-8 win over Dublin Coffman in a Division 1, Region 3 final.

Macy Walters, Johnstown softball: Pitched a one-hit shutout with 14 strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Fairview in a regional semifinal. She also hit a three-run home run to break a scoreless tie in the fifth inning.
