Bengals WR Tee Higgins officially switches jersey number to 5

The long-anticipated jersey number change for Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has finally gone official.

Cincinnati announced the move on social media, putting together a fun hype video that includes altered footage of Chad Johnson for good measure.

Fitting, considering Higgins will go from the iconic No. 85 in Cincinnati to the No. 5, the same number he wore during his college days at Clemson.

Higgins had previously made his intentions to make the number change back in 2021 after NFL rule changes about jersey numbers. But the requirement to buy out all of the already-made jerseys and other hurdles delayed the change.
