Bengals will visit Chiefs in Week 17 on New Year’s Eve
The latest entry in the rivalry between the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs was destined for a marquee spot in 2023 — the only question was when.
Now we know.
Wednesday, the NFL announced the Bengals will visit the Chiefs in Week 17 on New Year’s Eve, a 4:25 p.m. ET Thursday kickoff in primetime.
While this matchup seemed like a candidate to be the league’s kickoff game in Week 1, those behind making the schedule made it clear beforehand they wanted games like this between teams in the hunt later in the season, which is where this AFC title game rematch will go.
The NFL will announce a few more games in the coming hours and days before the full schedule release on Thursday night.
