While things seemed headed in the right direction for Chase after his back injury, the same certainly couldn’t be said for Higgins, who suffered a new injury during practice.
Considering the Bengals have to deal with a pesky Houston Texans team before turning around on a short week and playing the unstoppable-looking Baltimore Ravens on a Thursday night, now isn’t the best time for the injury bug to become a thing.
Here’s a look at the must-know Bengals news, notes and quotes for November 10.
Tee Higgins injury update -- Bengals Wire
It turns out that Higgins suffered a hamstring injury during practice. He didn’t suit up at all on Thursday and a report now says he won’t be able to play against the Texans — and with how tricky hamstring injuries can be, it’s hard to say if he’ll be available on a short week to play the Ravens, either.
Ja'Marr Chase had MRI -- Bengals Wire
The news is much better on the Chase front. That scary-looking back issue from the win over the Bills lead to him getting an MRI. But he says there’s no damage and that it’s a matter of handling pain from bruising. He sounds like a game-time decision against the Texans.
Sam Hubbard still out -- Bengals Wire
The rest of the Thursday injury report wasn’t much better. Of note is the fact Sam Hubbard remains out with an ankle issue. That’s pretty concerning, as his Wednesday absence was something we could write off as almost a veteran rest day. Not anymore.
Fantastic Joe Burrow film breakdown -- Bengals Wire
A seriously awesome film breakdown of Joe Burrow that shows why he’s so dangerous. In the clip, he reads the hand signals of defenders, figures out who he wants to target and then makes sure nobody knows until the last possible second.

Another look at the NYT playoff machine, which paints a pretty clear picture — Sunday is another super-important AFC game for the Bengals.
