Bengals’ Eli Apple mocks Bills’ Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs on social media

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Eli Apple did a lot of talking on social media following his team’s win over the Buffalo Bills.

After the 27-10 final on Sunday during the AFC’s divisional round, storylines in Buffalo surrounded Bills receiver Stefon Diggs. No harm, no foul is essentially what happened in the end.

Part of the situation was Diggs yelling at quarterback Josh Allen on the sideline of the game when Buffalo was losing in the fourth quarter. Allen said they’re fine, Diggs only publicly spoke about it on social media.

Via his account on Twitter, Diggs explained he was upset. Diggs said he’s just not happy about losing.

In noticing Diggs’ comments, Apple responded: He said he would pay for “couples therapy,” referencing Diggs and Allen:

One can consider that bit of a harsh and not exactly professional joke by Apple. What was really wrong was when Apple referenced Damar Hamlin in another attempt to take a shot at Diggs and the Bills.

You can check that out for yourself. Bills Wire does not want to publicize the comments.

Regardless, Buffalo and Cincinnati should still have tons of respect for one another off the field. Between the Bills breaking their playoff drought thanks to the Bengals years ago, to Cincy (aside from Apple), treating the Hamlin situation in the most standup way possible.

But there’s certainly going to be some feeling on the field in 2023 when the Bills and Bengals play again.
