The Seahawks benched cornerback Tre Flowers a couple of weeks ago and cut him yesterday, giving him a chance to start over outside Seattle.

It didn’t take long for Flowers to find a new home in the NFL. The Bengals say they have acquired him off waivers.

Flowers was a fifth-round pick in the 2018 draft. He showed promise at times over the last three and a half seasons, but seemed out of place in more ways than one. It’s easy to envision Flowers finding success in a different system more suited for his talents. Hopefully that’s the case in Cincinnati.
