Things generally get heated ahead of any fight — especially at the prematch weigh in.

Terence Crawford and Jose Benavidez Jr., though, took things to the next level on Friday ahead of their 147-pound title fight on Saturday night in Omaha, Nebraska.

As the two got face to face, Benavidez shoved Crawford on stage at the CHI Health Center on Friday. Crawford quickly responded and attempted to throw a right hook, but just missed before the two were broken up.

Crawford currently holds a perfect 33-0 record with 24 KOs heading into Saturday’s fight, where he’ll defend his WBO welterweight title. Benavidez holds a similar record, a perfect 27-0 with 18 KOs, and is coming off a first-round knockout of Frank Rojas earlier this year.

If there was any doubt as to how the two fighters felt about each other before Friday, that should be long gone.
