Ben Joyce records two strikeouts in spring training debut with Angels
The Angels (2-0) defeated the White Sox (0-2), 7-0, Sunday at Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.
Former Tennessee pitcher Ben Joyce made his spring training debut for the Angels. The former Vol pitched one inning, recording two strikeouts, while not allowing a hit, walk or run.
He appeared in 27 games and started one contest in 2022 for the Vols. Joyce (2-1) totaled 53 strikeouts in 32.1 innings pitched during the 2022 campaign.
Joyce played 13 games, recording 20 strikeouts, for the Rocket City Trash Pandas after being drafted. The Trash Pandas compete in the Southern League and are a Double-A affiliate of the Angels.
