Bemidji knocks off DL for second straight home dual win

Jan. 25—BEMIDJI — The Bemidji High School gymnastics team topped Detroit Lakes in a dual meet on Thursday at the Gym Bin, beating the Lakers 139.675-134.3.

Aubrey DeWitt once again won the all-around competition with a score of 35.6. Taylor Hanks finished second with a score of 34.575. Kennedy Olson took sixth with her 25.55.

On vault, DeWitt placed first with a score of 9.05. Bella Reierson took second with her 8.85. Aurora Frank (8.75, third) and Taylor Hanks (8.6, fourth) rounded out Bemidji's clean sweep of the top four.

DeWitt placed second on the bars at 8.9. Stella Schoonover took sixth with an 8.2.

Hanks led all competitors on the beam with a score of 9.125. Chesney Gladen placed third with a score of 8.9, Olson took fifth with an 8.55 and DeWitt placed sixth at 8.5.

On floor, Chloe Workman placed first with a 9.25. DeWitt was second at 9.15, Kennedy Olson took fourth with her 8.95, and Hanks tied for fifth with a score of 8.9.
