Without Chandler Jones, how does the Raiders D-line look?
MM: Not great. Maxx Crosby continues to be as dominant as ever, but they just don’t have a lot of proven option opposite of him. The Raiders are hoping that Tyree Wilson can make a big leap in Week 2, but he really struggled against the Broncos. Crosby will keep the Bills busy on the offensive line, but there really isn’t much else here to be worried about.
Josh Jacobs didn't get rolling in Week 1, do you think that changes against the Bills' leaky run defense?
MM: The Raiders certainly hope so! You can bet that the Raiders will use Jacobs a ton early in this game to keep their defense off the field. Jacobs shook off some of the rust in Week 1 after missing all of training camp and the preseason due to his holdout. I expect him to look better in this game, despite playing a better overall defense.
How did the first episode of Jimmy G on the Raiders look last week?
MM: Garoppolo was fantastic. He was accurate, made quick-decisions, and even used his legs to seal the game. The only mistake that he made was forcing the ball into the end zone, which led to a tipped interception. But overall, it was as good of a debut as you can expect for a quarterback making his first start on the road with a new team.
Is there an under-the-radar name to watch on the Raiders?
MM: Nate Hobbs is arguably their best cornerback and he’ll play in the slot in Week 2. Hobbs recorded 10 solo tackles in Week 1 and has no problem mixing it up in the run game. He’s a smaller cornerback, but he’s physical and doesn’t allow much in coverage. Don’t be surprised if he makes a few big plays in this game, especially on third down.
Who wins and why?
MM: The Raiders are on the road again this week, playing against a team that wants to wash the bad taste out of their mouth from Monday Night Football. I fully expect Josh Allen to have a bounce-back game and to put on a show in front of the fans. The Raiders just don’t have the personnel on defense to match up with the Bills, so this one could get ugly. Bills 31, Raiders 17
