Beede impresses, Delgado, Schneeman have key hits in Guardians' spring win over Royals

Mar. 15—After six scoreless innings, the Guardians broke through with a four-run seventh en route to a 6-1 win March 15 over the Royals.

In that seventh, Raynel Delgado's single brought in Chase DeLauter and Deyvison De Los Santos. Daniel Schneeman followed with a two-run triple to plate Delgado and Micah Pries.

Tyler Beede didn't factor in the decision but was impressive as the starter. On a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training, the right-hander went five shutout innings, scattering three hits and a walk and striking out three.

Scott Barlow (2-0) got the win with a perfect sixth. He struck out two.

The Guardians return to action March 16 at 4:05 p.m. against the Giants.
