Beavers go winless to open 2023-24 softball campaign

Feb. 5—ST. CLOUD — The Bemidji State softball team began its 2023-24 season in St. Cloud on Saturday and Sunday at the Kelly Laas Memorial Tournament.

The Beavers went 0-4. They started the tournament with a walk-off 4-3 loss against Sioux Falls. Northern State beat BSU 18-9 to cap the Saturday games.

Black Hill State picked up a 7-2 win over Bemidji State on Sunday morning before USF beat the Beavers for a second time to finish the tournament. The Cougars won the final game 9-1 in five innings.
