What was intended as a relaxing beauty appointment in the company of Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds has resulted in backlash for Ivanka Trump and one Des Moines hair salon.
As WHO-13 reports, President Trump‘s eldest daughter joined the governor for a visit to Salon Spa W in the Iowa capital on March 19. The two women enjoyed unspecified “services” at the salon, which offers hair, nail, and waxing treatments, as well as makeup application and facials.
The Salon Spa W later posted a photo of Trump and Reynolds to social media, with a note that it loved “supporting women in politics.”
But owner China Wong hadn’t expected the ladies' patronage to spark outrage and a fierce political debate.
