Bears’ Robert Quinn had an epic quote about being open with media

Bears outside linebacker Robert Quinn has been a fan-favorite this season, which has a great deal to do with his success following a disappointing season.

Quinn went from people bashing his signing as the worst in Bears history to people celebrating his dominance this season. Just recently, Quinn broke Richard Dent’s single-season sack record, and he handled it as he always does, like it’s simply his job.

Quinn was named one of “Chicago Media Jeff Dickerson Good Guy Award” winners on Wednesday, as he’s been open and honest with the media this season.

When asked about his openness with the media, Quinn gave what might be the quote of the year.

“I’ve always been a quiet guy,” Quinn said. “That’s just my personality. As far as when I have to talk to the media, they say a man has two things: his words and his nuts. And you don’t want to lose either. I try to be as honest as I can when I talk to people.”

Quinn quoted Al Pacino in Scarface, and it actually left the media without a follow-up.

Entering Week 18, Quinn has 18 sacks, second most in the NFL, 42 tackles, including 17 for a loss, 21 QB hits and four forced fumbles.

Quinn was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for November, where he logged 5.5 sacks, 14 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.
