Bean pulls finger in Notre Dame comeback win

Credit is due to Notre Dame associate athletic trainer Mike Bean who was the one to pop Jack Coan’s dislocated finger back into place during the game-winning touchdown drive vs. Toledo.

Brian Kelly confirmed after the game that it was a finger dislocation for Coan and praised Bean for quickly fixing the problem.

“He went over to Mike Bean and Mike performed some kind of pull the finger thing,” Kelly said before a significant pause and plenty of understandable laughter by all.

Bean also received praise from former Notre Dame wide receiver Robby Toma who shouted out his finger pulling talents on Twitter:

Former Notre Dame star tackle and current San Francisco 49ers starter Mike McGlinchey then chimed in to praise Bean:

Bean’s efforts helped Notre Dame escape what would have been a massive upset at the hands of the Toledo Rockets.
