The 2023 NBA All-Star Game reserves were announced Thursday night, and Knicks guard Jalen Brunson was among the snubs this year.

Brunson, who has yet to be selected as an All-Star, has turned the Knicks around in his first season with the team.

In 49 games, the New Jersey native is averaging 22.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game, more than any of his four seasons with the Dallas Mavericks.

The addition of Brunson has turned the Knicks around, from their disappointing 37-45 campaign last season to a respectable 27-25 record this year. The Knicks are also the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference, which would qualify them for the play-in tournament.

Brunson's teammate, Julius Randle, was selected to his second All-Star Game on Thursday, alongside Miami's Bam Adebayo, Boston's Jaylen Brown, Philadelphia's Joel Embiid, Chicago's DeMar DeRozan, Indiana's Tyrese Haliburton, and Milwaukee's Jrue Holiday.

But it was the omission of the Villanova product that has the basketball world talking.

The NBA on TNT crew, especially Charles Barkley, was stunned by Brunson's snub...

Some current players made their feelings known...

While a former player -- and Knick -- did not shy away from calling out Brunson's All-Star omission...

There is still hope for Brunson to make this year's All-Star Game.

Brunson could be selected as an alternate and if there's an injury to one of the starters or reserves, he'll be in.

The 2023 NBA All-Star Game is set for Sunday, Feb. 19.
