Baseball: Colby Turner strikes out 14 as Troup moves to 6-0

Feb. 28—ELKHART — Colby Turner pitched in lights out fashion Tuesday night to lead Troup to a 6-0 victory over Elkhart.

Turner earned the complete game victory on the hill after giving up three hits, stricking out 14 and walking a lone Elk.

Carter Graves went 2-3 at the plate and drove in a run for Troup (6-0). Graves also collected five of the Tigers' 10 stolen bases in the game.

Joshua Childress stroked a double for Troup while Turner and Bryce Wallum had a single each.

As a team the Maroon and White tallied six hits compared to Elkhart's three.

Next up for the Tigers is a 9 a.m. game Thursday against Kemp in first day play of the Tyler High Tournament
