Baseball: Brook Hill hammers Pine Treee; Rich, Durrett smack 3 hits each

Feb. 25—LONGVIEW — Brook Hill scored its second win over Pine Tree in as many days Saturday afternoon in Longview where the Guard came away with a 13-3 triumph.

Braxton Durrett went 3-4 and drove in four runs for the winners while Lex Rich went 3-3 at the plate.

Cooper Schook striked Brook Hill's lone extra-base hit, a double.

Picking up the win on the hill for Brook Hill (2-1) was Ben Braatz, who worked 5.2 innings and gave up three earned runs on nine hits. He struck out seven and walked one.

Schook pitched 1.1 frames in relief and didn't any runs or hits. He fanned four and issued a pair of free passes.

Brook Hill scored at least one run in every inning, other than the first.

Next up for Brook Hill is a 5 p.m. date Tuesday at Frisco Legacy.
