Khris Banks and Boston College are going their separate ways.
The Class of 2018 offensive/defensive lineman from Wayne (N.J.) DePaul announced on Wednesday that he's reopening his recruitment.
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound prospect is listed as an offensive guard but had been recruited to potentially be a defensive lineman according to someone close to BC program earlier in the process.
Here's what Banks' decommitment message read:
"After talking to my family I decided that I will be decommitting from Boston College as of right now. Although they are still one of my top schools I just feel that I committed too early without really talking it over with both my of (sic) parents. So as of right now I will be reopening my recruitment options and focusing on my 2017 season."
