The 2021 NFL season begins with a rematch of last season’s divisional-round matchup between the Cleveland Browns and the Kansas City Chiefs. Last season, Kevin Stefanski led the Browns to the playoffs for the first time in 18 years and the club will be looking to build off the momentum in 2021. Beginning with the Chiefs. Both teams have the talent to make a Super Bowl run, but Kansas City has actually been on the grandest stage.

Get the popcorn ready for Mayfield vs. Mahomes. Both quarterbacks have a grand history going head-to-head and shattering records. In 2016, the Oklahoma-Texas Tech rivalry game became one of the greatest offensive shows in college football history. After transferring from Tech to Oklahoma, Mayfield got the chance to return to Lubbock and face his former team. Patrick Mahomes had established himself as the Red Raiders starter and their performance that night is one for the books.

For the Sooners, Mayfield completed 27 of 36 attempts for 545 yards and seven touchdowns. For Texas Tech, Mahomes completed 52 of 88 attempts for 734 yards and five touchdowns. The two young quarterbacks awed with arm-talent and athleticism. Now, the two will reunite once again from opposing sidelines.

The NFL expanded the regular season from 16 to 17 games and the Cleveland Browns will have nine home games and eight away.
