Paul Chryst and the Wisconsin Badgers are still awaiting a decision from starting left tackle Tyler Beach on whether or not he’ll be returning for his extra season of eligibility in 2022.

The Grafton, Wisconsin native has started all 12 games at left tackle this season.

Beach also started 6 games at right tackle in 2020, receiving All-Big Ten honorable mention that season.

Per PFF, the senior tackle finished as 5th highest graded run blocker on the team (80.6). However, he didn’t grade out as favorably against as a pass blocker – finishing with a grade of (28.1) in 309 snaps of pass protection.

Beach was credited with giving up 3 sacks and 13 hurries in 766 total snaps at left tackle.

Tyler Beach was a third-team pick by the Big Ten coaches and honorable mention selection according to the media.

At this point, the senior tackle is just mulling over his options before making a final decision.

Even though Wisconsin has no shortage of options on the offensive line, returning a player with 1,403 career snaps would be welcomed with open arms.
