Back in black to a White Out: Social media reacts to Iowa’s alternate uniforms versus Penn State

The Iowa Hawkeyes are going back in black to Penn State‘s “Whiteout Game” this Saturday with a newly announced uniform combination that they had teased recently.

The Hawkeyes’ official social media account posted a video this morning of star cornerback Cooper DeJean rocking a new uniform set that is being pulled out on Saturday.

The Hawkeyes are going to be in their traditional black helmets and white road jerseys but rather than their traditional gold pants, they are throwing on their black pants with the yellow stripe down the side.

These pants are not new as they have been worn with black tops at home a few times in the past few seasons. They have not hit the road yet and are making their debut under the lights in Happy Valley.

Social media ignited the moment that the announcement became official and saw an overwhelmingly positive response to the change. Check out some of the best social media reactions.
