Avengers: Endgame's Jeremy Renner opens up about missing out on Infinity War

Jeremy Renner is thankfully back as Hawkeye in Avengers: Endgame after missing out on Infinity War.

His absence in the last movie was the talk of Marvel fans, with many questioning why such a prominent character was missing out on all the action.

However, Renner has now opened up about not being in the movie, explaining that it was all down to directors the Russo Brothers.

"I think it ultimately had to do with the storytelling of it all," he told Variety and iHeartMedia’s The Big Ticket podcast. "You leave it to the Russo brothers to make those decisions."

However, it sounds like he wasn't too bothered, as he admitted: "I wanted a vacation. I had stuff to do, man. Take a break."

Renner also revealed that he wasn't prepared for the fame that comes with being a Marvel star, adding: "You're on a Cheerios box all of a sudden.

"I remember when I was a kid growing up in the '70s, a Wheaties box, if you got on that was like, 'Wow, you're like a big sports star or something.'
