'Austin get ready.' ESPN's College GameDay headed to Texas-Alabama Week 2 football matchup

Start making your signs, Austin.

ESPN’s popular “College GameDay” pregame show announced Saturday night that it is officially headed to the Lonestar State to cover the Week 2 Alabama-Texas game at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium. The Longhorns last appeared on “GameDay” ahead of last year’s loss to Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl. The last time the show was in Austin was before Texas’ loss to LSU in 2019.

Both Texas and Alabama — the No. 1 team in the nation — won comfortably in Week 1. Their Week 2 matchup is scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. and will air on Fox.
