If it’s Friday night in Auburn, Alabama, and your Tigers just knocked off top-seeded North Carolina in the NCAA tournament, what do you do?
A celebration is in order, of course.
Toomer’s corner gets full treatment
Auburn students swarmed famed Toomer’s corner after the Tigers’ stunning 97-80 upset of North Carolina and celebrated like they had just won the national title.
The Opelika-Auburn News’ Sara Palczewski was there to document the damage.

All the toilet paper
As usual at Toomer’s corner, toilet paper was the celebratory tool of choice. It just leaves one to wonder. What will Tigers fans have left if they keep winning?
That’s the kind of scene generally saved for a championship. Or a football win over Alabama.
But beating the Tar Heels was a big deal and likely the high point of the NCAA tournament for Auburn. The Tigers look like they’ll head to the Midwest regional final without their best player Chuma Okeke, who left Friday’s game with a knee injury.
So it’s hard to blame the student body for making the most of its Friday night. We’re not here to spoil anybody’s good time.
