Auburn makes top 7 for defensive back Tyler Scott

Tyler Scott has had quite an impressive senior season and schools have taken notice.

The Mableton, Georgia product was originally committed to Arkansas State but after receiving his first Power Five offer from Auburn and several other Power Five schools, he decided to decommit and open his recruitment back up.

On Wednesday night he announced his top seven schools and the Tigers made the cut. They will be battling Alabama, Tennessee, Louisville, Michigan, USC, and Texas for the three-star defensive back.

Scott is ranked as the No. 630 overall recruit and No. 57 safety in the 247Sports Composite ranking. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Scott is listed as a safety but he could also play corner on the Plains.

Scott officially visited Auburn on Oct. 29 and has official visits scheduled with Texas (Nov. 11), Alabama (Nov. 25), and USC (Dec. 9).
