The record-breaking tight end will use his extra year of eligibility to further his career on The Plains. He also appears to be all-in on football as he is no longer on the roster for Auburn baseball.
Auburn’s tight end room shows a ton of promise and versatility. It’s probably the deepest that the position has been in several years.
Shenker is leading the way as a player that can be used in different ways but also is being shadowed by players like Landen King who have a ton of promise based on what we have seen in such a small sample size.

Shenker will enter 2022 as a super senior. He set Auburn records for tight ends by hauling in 33 catches for 413 yards in 2021.
The versatile playmaker has the ability to line up attached to the line, as a slot receiver, or even in the backfield in a full-back or h-back role.

Deal will enter 2022 as a junior. In 2021, he grabs nine catches for 65 yards and a score.

Tyler Fromm will also be entering 2022 as a junior for the Tigers. His stat line was very similar to Deal’s from a year ago. Fromm caught eight catches for 93 yards and a score in 2021.

Frazier was all the hype this time a year ago. His 6-foot-7 frame possesses a ton of upside as a pass-catcher but does not seem to be ready to block at an SEC level. He caught two passes for 13 yards in 2021.
Outside of being a guy at the slot, the junior tight end does not appear to be a key player anywhere else in the offense.

Landen King has won over a ton of Auburn fans already due to his sure hands in his small sample size of action. He will be a sophomore in 2022.
King brought in five catches for 59 yards and a score in 2021 including a catch in the Iron Bowl that required a ton of concentration.
He has tremendous upside, shows a ton of athleticism, and ca be used in many ways as a tight end. King can be a receiving threat from anywhere on the field and with another offseason on The Plains, he could improve his presence as a blocker as well.

Riley-Ducker is probably not a factor in 2022 but possesses a ton of upside for the future of the position at Auburn. His highlight tape is filled with him blowing up defenders in the blocking game and making plays downfield as a pass-catcher.
The true freshman in 2022 will be a fun piece to keep an eye out for when looking at the future of the offense.
