Auburn among top schools for 7-foot center Gai Chol
Bruce Pearlhas Auburn in the thick of things to land another impressive prospect.
Gai Chol is a 7-foot center and he included Auburn in his top seven schools on Thursday. The Tigers will be battling Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Cincinnati, and Wofford.
Chol is ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 171 overall player and No. 10 center in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the 2023 recruiting class. He is also ranked as the 10th best prospect in Georgia.
Chol is originally from South Sudan and came to the United States five years ago. He has made multiple visits to Auburn and the Tigers are in a great spot to land him.
The 7-footer excels at protecting the rim on defense due to his height and length as he continues to work on his shot.
Auburn has not yet landed a 2023 commit but the Tigers are involved with several top prospects and is only a matter of time before they start building what should be another impressive class.
